Dill
Let's talk Dill.
For years as a child, I just thought Dill was a description of a type of pickle. Dill was not something I was exposed to really until about 20 years ago when a dear spirit sister made an amazing dill dip that I have yet to get a recipe for.
Besides giving pickles, their amazing flavor will have a good amount of nutrients and one being vitamin A. Vitamin A is an essential nutrient that is important for maintaining vision and supporting a healthy immune system. It also plays a role in male and female reproduction.
Dill has been suggested to have blood-sugar-lowering effects
In fact, several studies in animals with diabetes have shown a significant improvement in fasting blood sugar levels with daily doses of dill extract.
Since discovery dill, I have learned that there are so many ways to incorporate it into foods. One is in a dill bread that is great for dipping into vinaigrette dressing with a pasta dish. Just remember that Dill has a strong flavor, so less is more when you are cooking with it.
